How business-day counting works
Observed holidays
When a fixed holiday falls on a weekend, its cataloged weekday observance is excluded. The weekend date remains classified as a weekend.
Endpoints
Between-date mode lets you include or exclude each endpoint. Add/subtract mode excludes the starting date unless you choose to count it.
A five-day example
Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 6 contains five business days when both endpoints count. Excluding Monday makes the same range four business days.
U.S. and Canadian coverage
The holiday options remove U.S. federal or Canadian national holidays. State, provincial, local, company, school, and market closures are not removed automatically.
